About Peggy
Peggy is a petite girl weighing in at 25 lbs and is about 1.5 years old. This gentle soul absolutely adores dogs of all sizes and is currently in a sanctuary in south Texas, waiting for her forever home. Found in January 2026 in a cemetery alongside 12 other dogs, Peggy has proven her resilience. Being the smallest, she likely faced some challenges, but her calm demeanor sets her apart from the rest. While she enjoys playing, she's also quite content to observe the lively antics of her companions. Peggy will occasionally join in on the fun, running alongside the others, barking as if she’s the referee of their games. She would thrive in a tranquil household where she can play in the backyard with another dog and her toys. Peggy is working hard on her leash training and is crate trained. One of her favorite pastimes includes splashing around in her kiddy pool, soaking up the sun. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion to hang out with on sunny days, Peggy could be the perfect choice. Although she's spayed and up to date on vaccinations, she is heartworm positive and is currently on medication, requiring a commitment for her ongoing care.
