About Nala
Meet Nala — a little lioness in the making, showcasing the calm and watchful demeanor characteristic of her guardian breed heritage. As an Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix, she possesses a steady, alert disposition, and a deep sense of devotion. Though Nala might be the "runt" of the Lion King litter, she already tips the scales at over 20 lbs. She's a bit more reserved and observant than her more boisterous siblings, taking her time to assess her surroundings before opening up. When she does, the sweetness and cuddles flow freely. Nala joined Mutt Luv Rescue at just three months old after being rescued from the Santa Cruz shelter with her littermates, who sadly lost their mom. These guardian breeds develop into large, loyal companions who excel in family roles, ready to protect and love. Nala needs a family that can provide her with the space to flourish, patient socialization, and consistent guidance typical of livestock guardians. Nala is a quiet, gentle soul ready to find her pride. Could your family be the one? Fill out an application at muttluvrescue.org. Mutt Luv Rescue ensures that all pups receive a comprehensive health checkup, heartworm and parasite testing, and are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.
