About Hopper
**CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY** Meet Hopper! If you think three legs mean slowing down, Hopper is here to prove you wrong. This playful 4-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten came into our care after suffering a broken rear leg that couldn't be repaired. The best option was amputation, and since then, Hopper has thrived. After recovery in a loving foster home, he discovered life is pretty fantastic. Hopper made friends with other cats, enjoyed respectful dogs' company, charmed everyone he met, and mastered the art of being an adorable troublemaker. Today, he’s confident, social, and playful, zooming around the house chasing toys and wrestling with feline pals, embodying resilience. Hopper has some perks, like fewer nails to trim and a slightly reduced chance of climbing up the cat tree, though curiosity remains intact. He doesn’t want pity or special treatment; he simply seeks a loving family that adores his goofy, affectionate spirit. Whether he’s batting toys or snuggling after chasing imaginary enemies, Hopper brings joy and happiness. Although he has one less leg than most cats, he has an abundance of love to give. His journey shows that life is full of second chances. Now he’s ready for a family to join him in the next exciting chapter. If you want a kitten who will make you smile daily, Hopper is ready to hop into your heart forever. If interested in adopting Hopper or another pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
