About Duke

Duke is a spirited dog, saved from euthanasia and ready for adoption after a two-week board-and-train program starting July 19. Known as the "little tornado," he brings lots of energy but settles down nicely once he's had some playtime. Duke is crate trained, housebroken, and gets along well with children, especially a ten-year-old. He loves chewing on bones and is great in the car. This lovable pup has also shown he can connect well with other dogsโ€”given proper introductions after some decompression time. He tends to pull on the leash but does well with a prong collar. Expect excited zoomies and a bit of mouthiness, which are part of what his ongoing training will address. Duke's excitement extends beyond the kennel, and heโ€™s eager to explore his new home. A family that can help him grow into the best boy possible would be ideal. Duke is 4 years old, weighs 50 lbs, is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and fully ready for his forever home.
