About RitaMaggie May
Meet RitaMaggie May, previously known as Mama Rita. She and her eight puppies were on a kill list in a California shelter, but lucky for them, we found a caring last-minute foster. After her pups were placed in loving homes, Maggie eagerly awaited her turn, thinking she was safe. Unfortunately, she was returned due to her untimely chicken escapade, which we didn't know about during her initial adoption. Despite this, Maggie has a sweet, calm demeanor and loves to shower her people with kisses. Sheβs great on a leash and is food motivated, which makes her easy to train. She knows a few commands, including 'no' and 'come,' and will happily learn more with time. Maggie may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she builds trust, her affectionate nature shines through. She gets along well with kids, adults, dogs, and even cats, though those chickens are a no-go. If you're interested in welcoming Maggie May into your life, please fill out an application.
