About Sophie
Sophie is an independent and charming tortie Himalayan, around 5-6 years old, with striking blue eyes. At about 6 lbs, she's spayed and up to date on vaccinations, having tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is microchipped. Sophie arrived at the rescue due to a breeder's inability to care for her cats, suggesting she may not have received much attention early on in her life. This skittish little one will benefit from a patient adopter who allows her to adjust to new surroundings on her own terms. Sophie loves playtime, especially with her favorite Mink Wand toy. When she's perched on her cat tree, she appreciates gentle head rubs and enjoys being brushed with a ZoomGroom. She's mostly unobtrusive and exhibits just the right amount of charming tortitude, showing curiosity during her explorations while remaining low-key. Sophie is not a cuddle bug, and her foster family can't guarantee that she will ever become one. However, she offers easy companionship, not getting into trouble or being vocal. Having lived with other Himalayan cats, she could comfortably join a home with a similar breed. While her foster family doesn't have dogs, a gentle dog that is good with kitties might be suitable for her. Older, cat-savvy children are welcome, as long as they understand not to carry her around.
