About Rosie

Rosie is a 10-year-old female Schnauzer mix looking for a calm adult household in East Tennessee. She weighs just under 20 pounds and has seen better days regarding her health and grooming. Recently, she underwent a lot of cleaning up and had small benign growths removed. Her salt-and-pepper coat is recovering nicely, but there are still patches from past allergies and infections. Despite her cataracts and partial deafness, Rosie has a great appetite and a healthy heart. Out on walks, she behaves well on a leash and enjoys quiet strolls around the neighborhood. Meeting new dogs or people can be a bit overwhelming for her at first, but with some gentle head rubs or chin scratches, she warms up quickly. If it gets too noisy, you'll often find her retreating to her crate or a safe spot to chill out. She's fully housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go outside, though as an older gal, she does have some incontinence issues that require attention. Rosie is on medication that helps manage this, and occasionally, you might find a wet spot in her bedding where she's been resting. She’s cooperative about her routine, including taking her eye drops and joint supplements. With a peaceful demeanor and soulful eyes, Rosie is ready to be a loving companion. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. The adoption fee is $100. Think you can give Rosie the continued care and love she deserves? Click apply to start the adoption process.
