About Kona
Meet Kona! This gentle giant weighs in at 80 pounds and is about 7 years old. He's a black lab mix, possibly with a hint of Great Dane, and he's all about being with his family. A true love bug, Kona enjoys lounging at your feet and soaking up affection. With a relaxed vibe, he's content to hang out in the house or yard with you. Kona was found wandering with two friends on a county road and eagerly accepted help. He gets along well with other dogs but has a strict no-cats policy. Heβs neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he hasn't had any accidents in the house since being neutered. Currently, he's undergoing heartworm treatment and recently had surgery due to earlier trauma from a probable car accident. While Kona is still adjusting to being left alone, he does fine indoors as long as food is not accessible. He previously escaped a five-foot fence the night he was rescued. As he acclimates, a taller fence might help him feel more secure. Kona is eager to find a loving home where he feels safe. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and letβs get started.
