Flash is a sweet and timid boy, arriving at the shelter with his brother, Chocolate. Both have come from a home filled with other dogs, but their exposure to people and new situations has been limited, leaving them cautious and nervous at first. Patience and time reveal Flash's gentle personality. At 5 years old and weighing about 19 pounds, he prefers a quiet space where he can feel safe. He loves to snuggle and play but may require multiple meetings to fully trust newcomers. Flash enjoys petting and the occasional treat, and he bonds deeply with his favorite humans. Ideally, he would thrive in a home without too much foot traffic—an environment suited for adults or teens, as he may find younger children overwhelming. Flash gets along with other dogs but prefers those that are calm, as he can feel overwhelmed by overly playful ones. Note that he won’t do well in apartment living due to occasional barking when left alone. Flash is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.
