Meet Naomi! Naomi is a lovely Akita, about 4 years old and weighing 76 pounds. Rescued as a stray, she never had a chance to be reclaimed. Naomi strikes a great balance between being independent and affectionate. She's perfectly content to do her own thing, but she also loves quality time with her favorite humans, especially when it includes lots of pets and scratches. Naomi knows "sit" and walks well on a leash. She’s great with children aged 10 and older, and she had a positive experience meeting another dog at the shelter, so a meet and greet with resident dogs is recommended to ensure compatibility.
