About Mason
Mason is a 6-month-old Miniature American Shepherd mix, born in early January. He came into care on June 11 after spending two months in a concrete kennel at the county shelter. Initially overwhelmed by his new surroundings, Mason took time to adjust to the basics of dog life, often displaying submissive behavior when uncertain. Now, Mason is stepping confidently into his new chapter. He enthusiastically enters his crate at meal times and gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue. Most importantly, he responds to commands, showing a keen eagerness to learn and please his humans. Having spent time bonding with Patty, his fellow rescue dog, he thrives on companionship, making a playmate in his forever home essential. This young pup is playful and enjoys a securely fenced yard where he can let off steam and chase after toys. Given his energy levels, he’s best in a home without cats. Mason is fully vetted, crate trained, and house trained, plus he can be trusted outside of a crate while his foster is out. Mason has come such a long way. He’s ready to embrace the love and confidence a family can bring into his life. He looks forward to being a cherished member of a home that will continue to nurture him.
