Stella is what you might call the unicorn of Schnauzers, a rarity in rescue dogs. This beauty, with her striking white and cream coat blending into lovely apricot shades, is not just a head-turner; she embodies all the wonderful traits of her breed. At around 20 lbs and 4 months old, she reminds us that rescue can truly lead to finding our favorite breed. While her exact lineage is still a bit of a mystery, she certainly carries the charm of a Schnauzer. Stella thrives in a home with other dogs, currently sharing her foster space with four companions of different sizes. Her happiness is infectious; her foster describes her as an incredibly sweet and playful puppy who absolutely loves her toys. While there hasn't been direct interaction with young children yet, her joyful personality suggests she would fit right in with them too. HER STORY: Stella was initially bought from a breeder by an elderly couple who quickly decided a puppy wasn't for them. After a brief stint with a teenager who lacked parental support for a dog in an apartment, she found herself needing a new home, lucky for her a rescuer stepped in. **NOTE**: Currently located in Puerto Rico, Stella will fly to her forever home once adopted. Arrangements can be made for in-cabin flights to various East Coast airports including JFK, EWR, and DCA.
