About Snow
Meet Snow! This 3-year-old, 16-pound Rat Terrier/Chihuahua blend brings together the brains and agility you’d expect from those breeds. Snow came to us from a hoarding situation, so the world has been a bit overwhelming for him. During his first week, he took the time to decompress and observe, slowly discovering that people can be pretty awesome. Once he felt ready to explore the big dog play yard, Snow amazed us with his polite demeanor. He took everything in stride, made great choices, and soon began to wag his tail and gently lick our hands. Before we knew it, he was comfortably stretched out beside us, basking in the sun and the joy of companionship. Snow has a lot of potential, especially with a patient family that will let him settle in at his own pace. Once he feels safe, his happy, loyal nature shines through. It’s important to note that like many dogs who have faced major changes, Snow might be a flight risk during his first few weeks in a new environment. A secure yard, a snug harness, and a little patience will make a world of difference. Interestingly, when in the play yard, escaping wasn’t on his mind—he chose to stay close to us. A confident and friendly canine buddy would help Snow gain confidence even faster and show him the joys of family life.
