Meet Star, a resilient senior Pittie who has overcome incredible odds to bring joy to everyone around her. Star arrived at the shelter in an alarming state, abandoned and emaciated due to a previous cruelty case. Despite her hardships, she faced each day with gentle eyes and a quiet hope that never faded. After months of waiting for a second chance, Star's life changed dramatically when a foster stepped in just in time to save her from euthanasia. Now in a loving foster home, she’s thriving and enjoying simple pleasures that bring a spark back to her life: lounging outside, playing with squeaky toys, and soaking up the sun while napping. She's even taken to snuggling close with her humans, finally feeling secure. Although she's a senior, Star is surprisingly lively and adept, even trying her hand at some lazy counter surfing. She's easy to care for, as she communicates clearly when she needs to go outside. Star also does well with mellow, nondominant dogs and is both potty and crate trained. This affectionate girl is spayed and up to date on vaccinations, and she’s looking for a family that will appreciate her gentle spirit and provide her the kindness she deserves.
