Mira is a large, adult female German Shepherd Dog located in Stagecoach, NV. She is house trained and has her vaccinations up to date. This special dog also has special needs due to her diabetes and nearly complete blindness.

About Mira

Mira found herself in difficult circumstances after being picked up as a stray in the Central Valley. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and diagnosed with diabetes. Unfortunately, this placed her on the euthanasia list due to the shelter's limited resources for treating such conditions. Luckily, a compassionate volunteer with experience in caring for diabetic animals stepped in, and Mira is now safe in foster care where she receives the treatment she needs. Although she is almost completely blind, Mira bravely adapts to new situations, relying on her human companions to guide her. She's friendly with other dogs and is currently learning to coexist with cats. This sweet, intelligent dog loves attention and behaves like a lap dog at heart.
