About Luna

Meet Luna! This sweet little Dachshund has seen some tough times, but her loving heart shines brighter than ever. At about 2 years old, Luna came to our rescue after her family lost their home, leaving her behind to care for her three tiny puppies. Thankfully, she found refuge with Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue, where she can finally receive the love she deserves. Now, it's Luna's turn to find her forever family. She's house-trained, incredibly affectionate, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy fit for most families. She enjoys being close to her people, soaking up affection, and being part of the household. Luna has one important request: she must sleep in the bed. After all she’s been through, we believe she’s earned that privilege. If you’re searching for a cuddle buddy who loves to curl up at night, Luna could be your perfect match. However, if you prefer a no-dogs-on-the-bed rule, she might not be the right fit for you. If you’re ready to give this resilient girl all the love, comfort, and snuggly nights she dreams of, please send in your adoption application. Luna is eager to become someone’s cherished best friend.
