About Ducky
Meet Ducky! This sweet girl is around 9 months old and weighs 45 pounds, but she has more growing to do. The volunteers at K 9 Stray Rescue League are smitten with her adorable wrinkles and charming personality. Ducky can be a little timid and uncertain at first, but with trust, she becomes an affectionate companion. She's fond of showering her favorite people with kisses, making sure everyone has a clean neck in the process. Ducky enjoys close contact and loves to lay across you when she feels comfortable. Playfulness is part of her character, and she favorites jolly balls and tennis balls, which bring out her happy side. Ducky is smart too, already mastering sit, down, and drop commands. Being food motivated helps with her training, so it's a great way to bond and teach her new skills. Potential adopters should be ready to guide this gentle soul, especially since she gets scared in new situations, such as when a door opens or when meeting new people. A confident leader is essential, along with patience to help her manage her insecurities. Ducky adores other dogs, and having a friendly canine buddy could significantly boost her confidence. Ducky is looking for a loving home preferably with children aged 13 and up. If you're 21 or older and want to give Ducky the chance she deserves, come visit her in Oxford, MI. She’s eagerly waiting for her forever family!
