He is already house trained and vaccinated, making him an easy addition to any family. Located in Livonia, MI, Smokey is good with children and gets along well with other cats and dogs. C Litter Smokey stands out as the most outgoing of his siblings. He eagerly watches for chances to engage with people, purring softly as soon as he’s picked up. With a chatty personality, he’ll call for attention if you’re not giving him enough. Smokey has a lively spirit, often found climbing and playing with crinkle toys, feather wands, or balls. You might also catch him curled up with his siblings, enjoying some downtime. He's good with respectful kids and is cautious around dogs, but we believe he would adapt well to a furry sibling. Smokey is one of our resilient panleukopenia survivors from summer 2026. Due to his medical background, it’s important to note that his neuter surgery should be delayed until November-December 2026. Potential adopters should keep in mind that panleukopenia survivors need careful monitoring for FIP, a treatable illness that can emerge at higher rates in these cats. Adopters must be committed to treating FIP should it develop, and are encouraged to reach out to Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue before considering euthanasia. To ensure responsible pet ownership, Happy Days requires a Spay/Neuter Contract for young animals. This means adopters will need to agree to get Smokey neutered by a specified date, with a deposit held until proof of sterilization is provided. Microchipping is part of the adoption process, providing an additional safety net if Smokey were to get lost. A small fee applies for the microchip enrollment at the time of adoption.
