About Lyra
Lyra will be ready to go home after her second vaccine on July 28, 2026. Meet Lyra! This lovely black and white tuxedo cat came to the Animal Welfare Society from Jefferson County Animal Control after being found abandoned with two other cats. Once she was in a safe place, her wonderful personality began to shine. Though she can be a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet nature. Lyra enjoys playing with toys and savors her wet food. While she shared her previous home with other cats, she seems timid around new feline faces. With gentle introductions, she is likely to adjust well. Lyra is spayed, microchipped, and will have her vaccinations up to date before going to her new home. Since it’s unclear how she interacts with dogs and children, potential adopters should prepare for a gradual introduction if they have other pets or young ones at home. Make sure to consider Lyra when looking for a companion. She’s eagerly waiting for a loving home! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
