Nya is a sweet dog on a journey from Puerto Rico to Maine, looking for a loving home. She may be a bit shy at first, needing gentle encouragement to feel confident. However, once she warms up, she loves nothing more than being close to her people, soaking up affection and cuddles. She interacts well with other dogs, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings is a must to ensure compatibility. While we're unsure about her experience with children, Nya would do best with those who can give her the time and space to adjust. Her introduction to cats is also an area where guidance is available from our team. Bringing your family and resident dogs to meet her at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland would be a great first step.
