Pluto is a two-and-a-half-year-old Australian Shepherd seeking a new beginning after the loss of his beloved owner. He was a loyal companion, enjoying daily walks and trips to the dog park where he has developed excellent recall skills. Well-versed in commands like "sit" and "paw," Pluto is eager to join someone who values companionship and adventure. At home, he adores curling up next to you and shines in social settings. He gets along well with dogs and has lived amicably with both a cat and a guinea pig. With a natural affinity for play, Pluto loves fetching and is a great partner for outdoor explorations. He thrives in an active environment and needs someone who appreciates that lifestyle. Since he does experience some separation anxiety, Pluto would be happiest with someone who is around most of the day. He is especially good with older kids, but families with children aged 12 and up would be ideal. Although he can be a bit bossy with puppies, he is easily redirected once settled. Pluto is currently carrying some extra pounds, so he's on a journey toward a healthier weight with a weight-management diet, regular exercise, and plenty of playtime.
