About Mira

Mira is a remarkable German Shepherd who was rescued as a stray from the Central Valley. When she arrived at the shelter, she was in rough shape, emaciated and diagnosed with diabetes, placing her on the euthanasia list due to lack of resources for her care. Luckily, a compassionate volunteer stepped in, and now Mira is thriving in foster care, receiving the treatment she desperately needs. Despite being almost completely blind, she bravely navigates her surroundings, relying on her humans for support. Mira is friendly with other dogs and is learning to coexist with cats, though she hasn’t quite figured them out yet. This intelligent and affectionate girl loves attention and believes she’s a lap dog. She’s house trained and gets along well with children. If you’re interested in adopting this special girl, please text 775-338-6631 or complete an application online. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
