About Rusty
Meet Rusty! This charming 2-year-old, 12-pound pup is eager to find his forever family. Rusty is a delightful mixed breed, likely a bit of Dachshund, Beagle, and maybe even a sprinkle of Chihuahua, all wrapped up in soft, silky fur that’s hard to resist. Rusty's favorite pastime is snuggling. He loves nothing more than curling up in your neck and dozing off, preferring to sleep tucked under the covers with you rather than anywhere else. While he’s house-trained and can enjoy some time in a crate, he truly thrives on affection and playful interaction. Rusty is an absolute social butterfly, treating strangers like long-lost friends. An enthusiastic companion, he revels in car rides and long walks. However, he prefers being the only pet, as he doesn’t quite share the spotlight easily—no cats in his future! Although he’s currently with other dogs in his foster home, he’ll really shine as the center of attention. Rusty is working on his separation anxiety, making great strides, and he would be happiest in a home where someone is often around. A single-family home without shared walls would be his ideal sanctuary. If you're looking for a loyal shadow, a cuddly passenger, and a pup overflowing with love, Rusty might just be your match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
