About Dexter

Dexter is one of the boys born under a porch in Cedar Rapids, IL. He and his brothers—Peep, Dippy, and Peanut—were taken in by a family, but circumstances left them in limbo for several months. Now safe with us, Dexter is timid and still adjusting to his new surroundings. We’re focused on earning his trust, and with patience, he’ll blossom. He needs an indoor home where he can feel secure and thrive, and home visits are mandatory due to his shyness. We're limiting adoptions to around 45 minutes from Cedar Rapids, IA, and only to Iowa residents—out-of-state applications won't be considered. Our Cedar Rapids adoption center is open by appointment only. You can find available slots on our Facebook page or website. Think you can provide Dexter a loving home?
