About Grimm
Meet Grimm! At around 6-7 years old and weighing about 95 pounds, Grimm is a wonderful Great Dane and Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix with a heart to match his size. He may look imposing, but this sensitive soul thinks he’s a lap dog at heart. His ideal day involves a leisurely 15-20 minute sniff walk, lots of cuddles with his favorite humans, a good brushing, and a chewy to relax with. Grimm has a loving personality and strives to make his people happy. He knows an impressive range of commands, enjoys car rides, and exhibits excellent house manners. He can entertain himself with a favorite chew toy, and he has a charming habit of sneaking up behind you for affection—foster family calls this the "Grimm Attack." Because he is a sensitive guy, Grimm can be a bit nervous around unfamiliar adults. He benefits from slow, positive introductions with treats as reinforcement. Once he trusts you, he’ll become your devoted companion. Notably, when feeling overwhelmed, he has an adorable way of shaking it off and grabbing a chew toy to help him settle. Grimm walks well on a leash, is house trained, and prefers a calm, predictable lifestyle. Ideal for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers, he may feel most comfortable as the only pet or with a respectful dog when properly managed. He has made wonderful strides since entering foster care, evolving from anxious to a more confident buddy who loves exploring with his human friends. The right adopter for Grimm will be patient and understanding, allowing him to settle in at his own pace. If you're seeking a loyal best friend who will always keep you company, even during late-night trips to the restroom, Grimm may be the perfect fit for your family. What are you waiting for?
