About Dill
Meet Dill! Dill is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix with a gentle heart, learning that the world isn’t as scary as he once thought. When he first arrived at the Runaways Animal Rescue, Dill was terrified—walking on a leash felt overwhelming, and he barely left his kennel. But he's come a long way since then, making incredible progress in building his confidence. A calm canine companion, Pit, has been instrumental in Dill's journey. This pup has shown him that people can be kind and that new experiences can be safe. With Pit by his side, Dill has started noticeably enjoying the world around him. Dill needs a patient adopter who can allow him to progress at his own pace. A quiet, low-activity home with another calm dog would be ideal. He’s best suited for older children (15+) who can respect his need for space. Dill is actually good with cats, preferring to coexist peacefully rather than approach them. He may not rush up to greet new people, but for those willing to earn his trust, the reward will be immeasurable. Watching him discover that the world can be happy and safe is a truly special experience. Could you be the one to help Dill continue his journey? Give him the home he has been waiting for.
