About RitaMaggie May

Meet Maggie May, previously known as Mama Rita. This gentle soul, who once faced the grim fate of a high-kill shelter in California, found refuge with a caring foster family after rescuers stepped in. Sadly, after fostering eight puppies to safety, Maggie May was returned due to an unfortunate incident with chickens, which was not apparent at the time of her adoption. Maggie is sweet and calm, loving nothing more than being close to her people. She’s affectionate with kids, adults, and even gets along well with both cats and dogs, though she should steer clear of poultry. A quick learner who responds well to food motivation, Maggie already knows commands like 'no' and 'come.' Her initial shyness melts away as trust builds, revealing a cuddle-loving companion just waiting for the right forever home.
