About Starr fka Oreo
Starr, formerly known as Oreo, is a beautiful 3-year-old female who came to us from a commercial breeder. Although sheโs identified as a mini bernedoodle, her traits also resemble those of an Australian Shepherd. Weighing around 32 pounds, Starr has a striking coat of black and white cream that draws attention. After starting her journey in a foster home, her name transitioned to Starr as she blossomed into her own. In her current foster environment, Starr has made remarkable progress. She walks nicely on a leash and relies on her human to take the lead. Due to her sensitivity to loud noises and quick movements, a quieter home is best for her. While she enjoys being near her foster mom, Starr can be apprehensive with direct eye contact and needs gentle reassurance. She is crate trained but requires help with house-training as she becomes more comfortable outside. Starr thrives in the presence of other dogs, so a confident resident dog is required to guide her in becoming a loving family member. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. Starr is also on medication to help manage her anxiety, which should be continued as directed by a vet. A meet and greet with all family members, including any furry companions, is part of the adoption process. If youโre ready to help Starr trust and thrive, start the adoption application today!
