About Buck

Meet Buck, a charming three-year-old mixed breed boy weighing 68 pounds who is ready to find his forever home at the Gilmer County Animal Shelter in Ellijay, GA. Buck has spent his time in a foster home, receiving treatment for heartworms, and has proven to be an easygoing house guest. He’s friendly with the resident dog and enjoys being his Foster Mom's office companion. Buck is great with people and knows how to relax in the home. He's making progress with house training, but he does need a little more work, especially with some marking behaviors that should resolve after his neuter surgery in a few months. He walks well on a leash with a harness, though he’s a strong boy. Buck is neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. He truly is a gem who wins hearts wherever he goes. Make sure to act quickly—he deserves a loving home before he has to return to the shelter! Ready to meet Buck? Click apply to start the adoption process.
