Jeff is an absolute delight—playful, loving, and happiest when snuggling with his person. He rides well in the car, needing just a bit of help at first but quickly learned to hop in on his own. While at Freedom Park and Independence Park, he remained calm around kids, bikes, dogs, runners, and the usual hustle and bustle. He enjoyed a trip to the pet store and even received a bath, treats, and a special pup cup at Milkbread where he made some new friends. When it comes to baths, a gentle cup of water works best for him, as spray hoses tend to startle him. After a full day of adventures, Jeff met his foster’s dog with a slow, parallel walk, establishing a good dynamic with only a little initial whining before settling into sniffing and walking together. While Jeff may seem unsure about toys, he is responsive to treats and affection, indicating he’s still learning how to fully embrace being a dog. He’s energetic and eager to please, thriving with an adopter who understands his strength and enthusiasm. He is dog-selective, so slow introductions are crucial. Jeff has wonderful manners and seems housetrained. He walks beautifully with a front-clip harness and collar and knows sit; his quick learning ability makes him a joy to train.
