Enzo is neutered, vaccinated, and has been updated on blood work. His friendly personality makes him great around other dogs. He is currently located in Foster, RI.
About Enzo
Enzo is a 14-year-old Shih Tzu searching for a cozy retirement home. This little guy may be a senior, but don't let that fool you; he's full of life and loves being part of the action. You'll often find him leading the way to welcome new visitors and rushing outside when the back doors open. Weighing in at 12 pounds, Enzo enjoys his meals and loves to chase and play with his toys. He lived with two other dogs before joining the rescue, and he's been great with the other dogs in his new environment. While he has some stiffness in his hind legs, he still zips around happily. Enzo does need a family that understands his medical needs. He's diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy and requires seizure medication twice daily. In the two months he's been with us, we witnessed just one seizure, which lasted about 60 seconds, but he bounced back quickly. He'll need routine blood work every six months for his medication. Additionally, Enzo has a grade 3 heart murmur and stage B1 mitral valve disease, which requires monitoring with an echocardiogram in nine months. Recently, he's had a dental cleaning, was neutered, and had a small mass removed from his eyelid — all without any issues. He is up to date on vaccines and has recently undergone full blood work, so he's feeling great! Enzo gets along well with other dogs, making him a social companion.
