Bear is a 10-month-old Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at about 53 pounds, and he’s bursting with love and energy. This friendly boy gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful family companion. He’s sweet-natured, has never shown any aggression, and enjoys the company of both humans and animals alike. As a young pup, he has plenty of rambunctious energy. Bear loves to run and play, and he’ll need an active family that can provide the exercise and engagement he craves. Ideally, he would thrive in a home with another playful dog or even attend doggy daycare for added socialization. Bear is house-trained but isn't crate trained yet. He does have food-related resource guarding, a challenge stemming from his past experiences living on the streets. He needs to be fed separately from other dogs to manage this behavior. However, it’s important to understand that with consistent feeding and positive reinforcement training, we often see this behavior diminish over time.
