About Mochi
Mochi is a spayed female Pitt Bull Terrier, approaching her 4th birthday this May. She was rescued from a litter abandoned at city hall in northeastern Texas. After being adopted with her brother by a couple in 2022, their unexpected divorce led to both pups being returned to foster care through no fault of their own. Named after a Japanese dessert the couple enjoyed on their first date, Mochi has a story of resilience. Initially requiring bottle feeding to gain strength, she has grown into a healthy, spirited young dog. She responds well to commands and shows a strong desire to please her humans. It’s important to note that Mochi needs to be the only dog in her home as she is very animal reactive and does not play well with other dogs or small animals. An ideal environment for Mochi would include a fenced yard and no small children. Although she is protective of her foster mom, she has not displayed aggression towards humans. Mochi enjoys car rides and walks in her harness and loves to chase birds. With her unique personality and background, Mochi is ready for a loving forever home that understands her needs.
