Meet BB! Her journey began in a high-intake shelter where euthanasia looms for many dogs due to space shortages. Luckily, she and her pups were saved, and now it's time for BB to find her forever home. At about 3 years old and roughly 45 pounds, BB embodies sweetness and loyalty. She’s a velcro dog, thriving on companionship and happiest when she’s close by your side. Whether you’re unwinding on the couch or busy in the kitchen, BB will happily follow you around, enjoying every moment together. She gets along well with other dogs, but her preference is to be curled up next to her favorite human. BB is heartworm positive, a common issue in the South, but the treatment is manageable. She needs a calm, low-stress space to recover, limiting her activities while she heals. BB will begin her treatment soon and will be placed in a foster-to-adopt home. Once she finishes treatment and is spayed, her adoption will be finalized. Rest assured, heartworms aren't contagious; they are transmitted only through mosquito bites. After enduring the shelter life, raising her pups, and now facing her health challenge, BB is ready for comfort and love—a soft bed, affection, and someone who welcomes her as their four-legged companion.
