About Juliet
Juliet is a lovely 2-year-old black Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sweet personality. She came to us from another shelter, and although her past remains a mystery, she has quickly shown how affectionate and special she is since arriving here. When you meet Juliet, you’re welcomed with happy tail wags and eager paws reaching out for attention. She absolutely adores people, soaking up affection whenever she can. Spending time with her in her kennel is a joyful experience; she simply enjoys being near you, getting petted, and feeling safe with someone she trusts. Outside, Juliet enjoys walks and behaves well on a leash, but she can feel overwhelmed in busy environments. Loud noises, cars, and barking dogs make her nervous, so she often seeks comfort from her person. In fact, she sometimes tucks herself close to hide under your legs when she feels unsure. This interaction only highlights her desire for protection and security. Despite these timid moments, Juliet radiates affection and eagerness to connect. She responds when called, knows “sit” to some degree, and displays lovely manners overall. Her playful energy surfaces in short bursts, but she mainly thrives as a calm, loving companion who enjoys gentle interaction. One of her favorite activities is receiving chest rubs, and she would happily lean into pets from someone kind and patient. Juliet thrives in an environment where people move slowly, allowing her to build confidence, especially in noisy areas. However, once she feels secure, her loving personality really shines through. She’s looking for a caring family who will help her feel safe and loved while she further gains confidence in her surroundings.
