About Comet
Meet Comet. If you walk past her kennel, you might not immediately see the dog we know and love. But step into the yard with her, and you'll get to meet the real Comet. Out in the sunshine, her personality begins to shine through! She loves finding a warm spot to sunbathe, soaking up the rays as if she's making up for lost time. Once she feels safe, Comet eagerly seeks out affection, leaning in for pets and enjoying the company of people she trusts. Occasionally, the serious, worried shelter dog disappears altogether, replaced by a happy pup tearing around the yard with joyful zoomies! Comet is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. The leash is new and intimidating for her, and many everyday experiences feel unfamiliar. Because of this, she will need a patient adopter who understands that confidence isn't built overnight. Someone willing to move at her pace, celebrate small victories, and show her that she's safe will be rewarded with a truly special dog. Beneath her fears is a gentle, loving soul wanting to trust and connect. She just needs a guiding hand to help her get there. Comet may not be the dog who runs up to greet you right away, but for the person willing to give her a chance, watching her blossom into the dog she's meant to be will be one of the most rewarding journeys imaginable.**Click apply to start the adoption process.**
