About Bobcat

Meet Bobcat. Some cats wear their story on their hearts. Bobcat wears his in his walk. At 3.5 years old, this handsome brown and white tabby has already faced more than most cats ever should. When Bobcat arrived, we noticed his quirky walk and frequent stretches of his back legs. X-rays revealed old fractures in his hip and pelvis, likely from being hit by a car before he was rescued. But despite these challenges, Bobcat never lets his past define him. Veterinary physical therapists have thoroughly assessed him and agree he's stable and ready to find his forever family. They are available to answer any questions to help potential adopters feel confident in his care. Although arthritis may develop in the future, Bobcat is currently an active, playful, and happy-go-lucky guy who doesn't let past injuries hold him back. Bobcat is impossible not to love. He greets life—and people—with pure joy. Affectionate in the sweetest ways, he generously gives face licks to everyone lucky enough to earn them. He enjoys hanging out with his humans, soaking up attention, and being part of whatever's happening. Playful, goofy, and incredibly loving, he seems to wake up each day convinced it's going to be his best one yet. Bobcat is FIV-positive. While this may sound alarming, it simply means his immune system is different. With regular veterinary care and a healthy indoor lifestyle, FIV-positive cats can live happy, fulfilling lives. FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds—not through sharing food or cuddling—so many of these cats coexist peacefully with other friendly felines. Bobcat gets along well with other cats and would likely adjust nicely to another laid-back feline. We haven’t tested him with dogs yet, but his relaxed demeanor suggests he might adapt well to them with a proper introduction. Bobcat's story is one of resilience, joy, and forgiveness. He stays focused on the present, asking for pets and making new friends, reminding us all that life is for enjoying. Come meet Bobcat. He's sure to walk—adorably and uniquely—right into your heart.
