About Charlie LA
Charlie LA is a little warrior who has come a long way since being found abandoned in Louisiana with his littermates at just three weeks old. Now around 3.5 months old, this short-legged, long-bodied Dachshund mix has a gentle heart and some quirks. New experiences can be overwhelming for him, so a patient adopter who understands the importance of building trust is essential. Once Charlie feels at ease, his goofy side emerges. He enjoys belly rubs, exploring the yard, and spending quiet moments with his favorite humans. Charlie thrives with a confident, well-adjusted dog to guide him, as he learns best from his furry friends. He is submissive when meeting other dogs and can even coexist happily with cats. His ideal home would be a tranquil, adult-only environment with a secure fenced yard and at least one stable dog to help him grow in confidence. He’s doing great with house training and his crate serves as a safe space for him. Charlie isn’t looking for a quick fix; he needs someone who will appreciate every small triumph and reassure him that the world can be a good place. This is a rewarding journey, and Charlie is worth every step. If you're ready to bring this special boy into your life, please fill out an adoption application.
