Sammy came to us from Texas after his owner wanted to euthanize him due to a positive FIV test. FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) isn’t a death sentence; many cats live long, healthy lives without symptoms. It’s important to know that FIV cannot be transmitted to humans, and cats with a positive result often thrive alongside negative cats, as the virus spreads only through deep bites. Sammy is currently sharing his space with several roommates and displays no aggression. He’s shy at first but prefers a calm, quiet environment. With beautiful chocolate-colored paws and striking blue eyes, Sammy resembles a seal point Siamese. He rarely bites or scratches, making him a wonderful companion.
