About Doc
Doc, born in March 2025, has overcome a tough start in life. For the first year, he was chained and received very little human interaction, leading to significant neglect. Rescued in March 2026, shortly after his first birthday, Doc weighed 25 pounds at that time. Thanks to the efforts of his rescuer, Jessica, he has not only gained around 20 pounds but is also fully vetted and mastering his basic obedience skills. Doc thrives on learning and aims to please. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and has a love for water play and fetch. There’s a spark of joy in everything he does. Although Doc is heartworm positive, his youth gives him a good chance of recovery—his new family will need to be informed of this aspect. However, he has a strong prey drive and does not get along with cats. His ideal home would be free from smaller furry creatures. Doc’s breed is a German Wirehaired Pointer, and he is ready to find a loving forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
