About Brie

Meet Brie! This wonderful girl has overcome a tough past, arriving at the shelter heartworm positive and missing much of her fur. With proper care, she's blossomed into a stunning presence. At about 3 years old and weighing just over 60 pounds, Brie is a Great Pyrenees with a beautiful long, fluffy coat. As a livestock guardian breed, Brie embodies loyalty and independence. While she isn’t quick to trust strangers, once you earn her affection, she's a devoted companion. She's been good with other dogs, but a slow introduction is best—her ideal home might be as an only pet, especially for out-of-state adopters. Brie thrives on having a secure fenced yard, where she can enjoy outdoor adventures while still being part of the family indoors. She hasn't been tested with cats, and it’s advisable to have older children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Brie may need some time to adjust, but she’s shown she's capable of adapting well in a loving home. Given her unique personality, we’re looking for someone experienced with livestock guardian breeds or eager to learn. Brie is all set to be a cherished family member, combining her gentle demeanor with a protective spirit. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
