About Amelia and Sanibel

Amelia and Sanibel are two incredibly sweet and bonded color-point kittens, recently rescued during a TNR project in Florida. Amelia is a gentle 4-month-old Siamese mix. She tends to be shy and sensitive, often running when approached, but she transforms into a playful explorer when she feels safe. You'll find her happily batting toys around, though she remains cautious of quick movements and hands. Amelia can be petted gently, and once she builds trust, you’ll hear her delightful purring. However, she’s not quite ready to be picked up just yet. Continuity in patience, calm handling, and trust-building will be essential for her growth. It’s important to adopt Amelia with her sister, Sanibel, as their bond brings Amelia the confidence she needs to flourish. Sanibel, also 4 months old, is Amelia's sister and serves as the more outgoing counterpart. This little girl is playful and social, and she brings comfort to Amelia by showing that the world is a safe place. Sanibel welcomes gentle handling, relishes attention, and adores belly rubs. Their connection is strong, and living together helps both sisters thrive. Both kittens are FIV and FeLV negative and are up to date on their vaccinations. Their spaying is included in the adoption process. They will be available in New York in late July. Start your journey together! Apply now.
