If you ask his foster family, he might even be part cat! Whether he’s curled up in the recliner, on the couch, or exploring the cat tower, you can bet Rusty will find the coziest spot for a nap. Despite being a bit shy with newcomers, Rusty builds deep connections with those he trusts. He’s incredibly loyal and loves to follow you around, finding his serene spot nearby to unwind. When you come home, he’s usually waiting by the window, eager to greet you with a wagging tail. Rusty is well-mannered and house-trained. He walks nicely on a leash and sleeps soundly through the night. While he isn’t fond of being kenneled initially, he quickly adapts and has demonstrated that he can be trusted with the run of the house. He also gets along with cats and has been respectful around dogs during walks. Toys aren't a priority for him; he prefers belly rubs, basking in the sunshine on the porch, or leisurely strolls. Rusty is a smart, mellow companion, looking for a home where he can enjoy life’s simple pleasures and snuggle with his favorite humans.
