Meet Sprout, an adorable 4-year-old female Giant Schnauzer looking for her perfect forever home. Sprout is a bright dog, skilled in obedience and Rally Obedience, and eager for treat-based training. While she loves to play with other dogs for short periods, she does best as the only pet in the household. Sprout has a high prey drive, so she’s not suited to living with cats or small animals. This sweet girl enjoys hiking and spends time in nature, making her an ideal companion for someone who loves outdoor adventures. Sprout can be a bit of a resource guarder around other animals, but she has a gentle nature with people. She does require an experienced adopter familiar with large and working breeds. She needs consistent training and mental stimulation to keep her engaged. Also, she prefers the company of her humans and will try to convince you to be a lap dog. Given her energy and size, she is not recommended for homes with small children. Sprout is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and house-trained.
