However, he may not enjoy busy outings or neighborhood trips; instead, he’s happiest in the comfort of a familiar home. His ideal adopter will appreciate him for who he is, not for the small dog they envisioned. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Chewy is still adjusting to normal household life. Everyday things like mirrors and stairs are still new to him, but he's learning and having fun along the way. Chewy warms up to people who approach him slowly. While he may take some time to trust new sounds and routines, once he feels secure, he transforms into an affectionate cuddler and backyard play enthusiast. Here’s what Chewy needs: A calm home environment, perhaps a cozy, easy-to-clean room where he can feel safe, and access to a secure yard. He’ll flourish with gentle introductions to new experiences and consistent support in housebreaking.
