Petunia is discovering just how wonderful life can be. Though she can be shy initially, this sweet Beagle is gaining confidence daily and becoming more comfortable with the people around her. Curious by nature, Petunia loves to explore and is learning that new experiences can be exciting rather than scary. She's building trust with her caregivers, walking well on a leash, and enjoying her time in the play yard. Petunia gets along nicely with other dogs, and having a confident canine companion could help her continue to blossom. Coming from the Ridglan Farms test facility, Petunia embodies the affectionate and resilient spirit of Beagles, eager to embrace life beyond the lab. With her unique needs, she may be skittish at times, which makes her a potential flight risk. However, her innate curiosity and remarkable sense of smell born from a long history means she thrives when adventures are close at hand. Because of her background, the adoption process involves a few extra steps. Veterinary records are reviewed, and applicants will need to complete a questionnaire, as well as participate in a Zoom session for realistic discussions about expectations.
