Meet little Skylar! This sweet 26-pound Australian Shepherd mix has a beautiful face and a soft, long coat. At just 5 years old, she carries herself with the grace of youth but is naturally shy and laid back. Skylar takes her time to study her surroundings, showing inquisitive behavior as she navigates her new environment. She gets along well with other dogs and is learning to warm up to people, making great strides every day. Skylar enjoys playing in the yard and can walk on a leash, although she may lie down if she feels uncomfortable. Currently, she uses a potty pad between outdoor walks. Having come to us through our Abilene rescue friends, Skylar was likely part of an unwanted breeding situation. Fortunately, she is now spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
