About Ruby

Ruby is a 1.5-year-old Siberian Husky looking for a gentle and understanding home. Recently evacuated from Eureka during the fires, she’s still adjusting to her new surroundings at Arctic Rescue. Initially overwhelmed and a bit shut down, Ruby is slowly opening up and showing her true, sweet personality. She craves affection and is learning to trust again. Ruby gets along well with dogs, cats, and even children. In her temporary fosters, she thrived with calmer companions, though she may need time to feel comfortable with more energetic peers. She's crate trained and potty trained, demonstrating her intelligence and potential for quick learning with consistent training. Ruby is currently in her “decompression phase,” needing a patient and gentle environment to flourish. This lovely girl has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Remember, Arctic Rescue marks all dogs as needing an experienced adopter, especially Northern breeds like Ruby, who require more exercise and training. If you’re ready to offer her stability and love, she may just surprise you with how special she can be. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
