Meet Izzy! This lovely 1-year-old Domestic Short Hair blends beauty with a gentle spirit. Unlike some cats that demand attention right away, Izzy seeks your patience—she promises she’s worth the wait. Having arrived at Emerald City Pet Rescue with little socialization, Izzy is gradually discovering that she can trust people. Each day, she grows a little braver and more curious. Initially, she might take refuge under a cozy blanket, but she's starting to show her sweet personality by softly meowing and exploring her surroundings. Treats are a surefire way to win her heart; she adores Churu and will eagerly take a tasty snack as she gets to know you. With consistent care and positive interactions, Izzy has great potential to flourish. She has lived with other cats and may enjoy the company of a calm feline buddy after proper introductions. While her experience with dogs is uncertain, any resident dogs should be gentle and soft-spoken. Due to her easy startle response, a quiet home without young children would be ideal for her. Izzy does experience mild anxiety, which is managed with medication as she builds her confidence. She will need a dental cleaning in the coming months and regular nail trims as she becomes more comfortable with being handled.
