Sassy is an adorable 8-year-old Terrier who weighs around 25 lbs. Though she's a bit overweight, she's shedding those extra pounds thanks to more exercise and attention. Not the most conventionally beautiful girl, Sassy is perfect in every other way. Her past may have been rough— Animal Control suggested that she was likely a bait dog, evident from the scarring on her face. Despite her traumatic history, she exhibits resilience and a heart full of love. Sassy is affectionate and loves to give kisses, making her a wonderful companion for the right family. It’s important to note that Sassy needs a calm environment, as she’s timid around men and can be startled by sudden movements—no small children, please. However, she thrives in a home where someone is often present. While she is house trained and does well alone, she prefers a companion nearby. Active on a leash, she requires a fit adopter who can match her strength during walks. Despite being cautious at times, she loves to explore her surroundings and enjoys visiting people. Sassy is fully vetted, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is crate-trained but also loves to snuggle up in bed. Her unique quirks, such as sleeping with her eyes open and drooling when eating, hint at her past, but they only add to her charm. She’s also known to chase cats, so no small animals are a safe bet.
